We're first on the bill, and as we only really play for kicks and not to get big and famous, this may be our only gig ever. Is there a chance this could be tacked on to a news story if there is one before Thursday? Thanks!! -Chris As Abba said, "thank you for the music"Dear Rivers, Pat, Brian, Scott...... and of course Karl :)(hi Karl:)lol), Karl, I realize that this is not a real good place to put an appreciation letter like this..(possibly...maybe it is!:Dlol) But I just need to tell you all (or attempt to at least..haha) how awesomely wonderful and meaningful you've been as a part of my recent life:). So Karl, thanks for all ya do..and if its not too much of a hassle. If you get a chance to read this, I'd be forever grateful if u'd let the band know that they are savin' lives:). And besides that..I couldn't find a better place that someone would actually possibly read what i sent:). SO..here she goes..lol In March of 2008, my dad suffered a stroke at the age of 51. Had it not been for my repeated playings of your inspiring tunes, I'm honestly not sure where I would be mentally let alone physically. I just want to say thank you so much for being you and for representing so many different individuals in such a unifying way. You've given me the strength to be comfortable in my own skin and to not be afraid of going after what I believe in. You've helped me put that extra light back into my star..and now..I'm just looking up and following:). I find myself turning to the lyrics of various tunes for inspiration to get through each and every day..and boy are they powerful!:) I was formally introduced to weezer by a lifelong friend. Although I'm not so sure if he would be all for me sharing this with you, he is one passionate weezling:), as i'm most certain others are too! I was recently given the opportunity to help him in steering him toward fulfilling one of his dreams:playing the piano. I dug out my old little keyboard that I had used before to compose and decided to deck it out in anything and everything that he would be inspired by...lyrics to longtime sunshine...the greatest man that ever lived, pink triangle, and much more....and on the color-coded keys, I figured what better way to mark middle c than with a good solid =W=? He's been sitting in front of his computer, learning your tunes by ear on that little keyboard since the day he opened that package in the mail. What an amazing way to follow-up his first weezer concert in St. Paul. He was in tears. So what I would like to say is..thank you guys. You will never know how much you mean to your fans, (at least two of them I know for a fact!:)) You truly are inspiring, whether it be marching down a gravel road with the "pumkin of love", showing people you are simply YOU and proud of it, jumping on a trampoline while playing a mean guitar solo, or sharing the natural high of making music with your fans, you guys rock. Thank you, thank you, thank you:). You are a great light of hope and inspiration that will surely become a great part of this world's awakenings. :) Best wishes with your future endeavors and may you find peace and love through all things in life. I know you've helped me find them.:) Shalom:), Rachel EGF, Minnesota Pre-saleHey Karl been a weezer fan for years, been on the mailing list for years, and still no pre-sale stuff, even went through my junkmail help me out man! thanks!
