FIRST STAGE OF THE AUCTION ENDS MONDAY!
The first stage of Gwen's charity auction ends this Monday, April 18! The auction began earlier this week so fans are already bidding to join Gwen in Los Angeles for a private Harajuku-themed tea party at Royal/T.
It was just announced that the Harajuku Girls will join Gwen for this special charity event. A few lucky auction winners will get the opportunity to sit with one of the Harajuku Girls during the super-kawaii seated tasting-menu experience at Royal/T. This special auction package will only run for three days so click here to bid. This stage of the auction ends Monday, April 18.
The auction also features vintage L.A.M.B. items straight from Gwen's closet and limited edition Harajuku Lovers t-shirts with special custom labels, signed and numbered by Gwen.

The auction is now live! Bid now to join Gwen at a private Harajuku-themed tea party in Los Angeles. The auction also features vintage L.A.M.B. outfits straight from Gwen's closet as well as ten limited edition Harajuku Lovers t-shirts with custom labels, signed and numbered by Gwen.
On June 7, Gwen will host a private Harajuku-themed tea party at Los Angeles' first-ever Japanese-style cosplay maid cafe, Royal/T. The event will be an exclusive experience and is available only through this auction. Gwen will personally host this event as guests indulge in exquisite teas and a super-kawaii seated tasting-menu experience. Guests will also enjoy a meet and greet with Gwen Stefani and take part in a raffle featuring vintage L.A.M.B. items from Gwen’s own closet. The event will be appropriate for all ages, though minors must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
In addition to this exclusive event, the auction will also feature vintage L.A.M.B. outfits straight from Gwen's personal closet. She has pulled everything from shoes to dresses to jackets to skirts for this special charity auction, and they're going straight from her closet to you. Gwen on the cover of U.S. Elle's Annual Women in Music Issue
An April 12, the annual Women in Music issue of Elle Magazine will be on newsstands featuring Gwen Stefani on the cover. Gwen did the photo shoot in New York with photographer Dusan Reljin who helped create three different versions of the cover for the special May issue. The annual Women in Music issue of Elle U.S. also features Adele, Robyn, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine and Jennifer Hudson to name a few. March 23, 2011 - Gwen Stefani donated $1,000,000 today to Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund to help in the relief and recovery effort in Japan.
"I've been inspired by Japan for many years and have a true love, appreciation and respect for the Japanese people and their culture. The disaster in Japan is beyond heartbreaking and I want to do anything I can to help. I would never be able to make a gesture like this without the love and support of all the fans over all these years.”

Gwen has not only made a personal donation but created a mechanism whereby her fans will be able to participate in her efforts. A charity auction will be announced next week where fans can bid on the chance to join Gwen at a special fundraiser in Los Angeles. Also available next week, a limited edition Harajuku Lovers T-shirt designed by Gwen will be available through nodoubt.com with 100% of proceeds benefiting the relief effort in Japan. Plans for further fundraising initiatives are also in current discussion.

Gwen Stefani's History with Japan
Gwen Stefani has been inspired by Japan since she first toured there with No Doubt in 1996. Not only did she immediately fall in love with the country and it's people, Gwen found a special connection to a district in Tokyo known as Harajuku, an area that thrives on creativity, music, art and fashion. The youth culture of the Harajuku district have been a constant muse for Gwen, inspiring both her clothing line called Harajuku Lovers and the song "Harajuku Girls." Throughout her career Gwen has borrowed heavily from Japanese culture for many of her creative endeavors.
About Save the Children’s response to children and families affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan:
Disaster Impact on Children:
Save the Children is the leading, independent organization that creates lasting change for children in need in the United States and around the world. Children are always among the most vulnerable during emergencies. Children in the hardest-hit areas are in need of basic supplies such as food and clean water. With concerns over nuclear safety, there is a risk that problems with supply lines could grow worse. In addition, initial assessments have confirmed that over 5,500 schools have been damaged and it is anticipated that the opening of schools for the new term on April 5 will be delayed.
Conditions facing children and families are so extreme that they are developing a three-year strategy—based on their initial on-scene assessments—to first help provide essential relief items and launch child protection activities, and then help restore children’s sense of security and normalcy and advocate for their inclusion in emergency preparedness planning.
“We are very grateful to have such a generous donation from Gwen Stefani for our relief efforts in Japan," said Charles MacCormack, president and CEO of Save the Children "Save the Children has been in Japan for 25 years and we are working closely with our teams on the ground to address the immediate and ongoing needs of children and their families whose lives were turned upside down by this tragedy."

Gwen's Elle UK Cover
Gwen is on the April 2011 cover of Elle UK. The photos were shot in L.A. with photographer Mattias Vriens McGrath and Gwen's favorite beauty team including hairstylist Danilo Dixon and wardrobe stylist Andrea Lieberman. For the feature interview, Gwen spent the following day chatting with good friend Garbage front woman Shirley Manson.
