New Found Glory -->
 WWE Review COMING HOMEPosted 1/1/2007 by Suretone Is it possible to fill an album with lyrics like "I know you'll relive every moment below sheets where dreams are made" and not sound like total wusses? On their fifth album, Warped Tour vets New Found Glory prove it is. The anthem-like opener "Oxygen" packs crunching guitar thrashes around a tale of undying devotion, while the brawny drumming on "Hold My Hand" (not a Hootie cover, incidentally) propels a piano melody nicked from The Cure toward a soaring chorus. At times, NFG sound like a less snotty Blink-182, and even when their emo side gets the better of them (as it does on the gooey power ballad "Boulders"), a big, click, sing-along hook is always around the corner to bail them out. 4 out of 5 stars, WWE Magazine Digg | Del.icio.us | Facebook |
