2009/11/05 Hollywood Hot Topic In Store Signing

[ « Back ] This evening as the first of 3 SoCal area instore singing sessions with Weezer, as we welcome their 7th album "Raditude" into the world. Today's signing was at the Hot Topic store in the Hollywood and Highland Mall, next door to the Kodak Theater and the Knitting Factory. There was a huge turn out, but Hot Topic was careful to set limits so that everyone in line could say hi to the band and get their item signed in the time alotted. Prior to the signing, the guys did an interview with a video crew from HotTopic.com, in which the new album was discussed as well as some rather goofy stuff.

Basically everything went really well, and a lot of people walked away with everything from copies of Raditude, to guitars, to old ticket stubs, to bizarre demonic wall plaques, to strange pictures, to t-shirts, to broken ukeleles, to intact ukeleles, and everything in beween signed by the band. If you can make it into the signings in Irvine tomorrow or Chino on Saturday, dont miss out! Here's the details:

yes, this definitely made my night...as soon as i walked out of there the tears just started flowing! they actually had more passes, so i bought a tshirt to get another one, then got at the back of the line and went for round 2. all four of them were so nice; all talked to me, and they signed a birthday card for my brother. it was amazing. i'm just so happy that i got to see them all face to face and tell them that i love their music!! weezer, thank you for making last night the best night of my life!! :D

This was Awesome!

I went to this last night. We won the passes from KROQ so we didn't have to do the whole wait in line thing and got to go in first. SCOTT IS THE COOLEST. Srry, its official now. They're my favorite band, but Rivers looked nervous, Brian's a sassy weirdo, Pat didn't even look at me. Scott shook my hand, looked me in the eye, and talked quite a bit. To quote my brother, SCOTT IS DEVASTATING!!! This was so worth it. LOVED IT!!

Signings....

Karl, I (and I am sure many others) would love to see another East Coast Signing. Hopefully close to (date/time and location) the Camden Show in December! If you have any way of setting something like that up at a local bestbuy or hottopic in the Philly area I would be grateful! I have had a guitar I wanted signed since Blue, and found out about the Nintendo World signing in NYC too late. I would have drove from Central Pa!! Thanks and rock on!
