COSMIC VAN: Transmission 15 - Enter SandmanPosted 10/23/2009 by CosmicVan It was a fall night, and Metallica was in the air. There was a steady stream of metalheads driving into town and we got a lot of shout outs. Before we headed to the Metallica the show we tried to get to the 17th St Farmer's Market for Shocktoberfest. Unfortunately, the venue changed, and nobody told us. Cosmic van fail. We stopped into a local coffee shop for directions and they'd never even heard of 17th St. So, yeah. We got a great tour of the awesome UVA campus but we never made it to Shocktoberfest (if it exists...). Our apologies to anyone who went driving around based off of our tweets. The show was at John Paul Jones arena, which is impressive all by itself. Granted, he's a rock and roll legend, but wow... they named a college venue after the guy.
