AEG/Trinity Tickets

Ye, I got my 2nd lot of tickets for O2 Tuesday(Recorded) And the letter with them tells me the first lot I recieved were now void (Comes up on barcode) So thats the 1st lot I ordered through trinity are the ones I need and the 2nd lot I ordered with the pass code in an email are now void...I think Ive got this the right way round.lol. Havent had refund come through yet on credit card, so will keep all paperwork and tickets until do......Just to say, make sure you take the right set of tickets with you.. Im taking both, just in case!!!!!! DC

TICKETS STILL HAVEN'T ARRIVED

This has been a complete shambles... I have been waiting all week for my replacement tickets and they still haven't arrived. I orders some additional tickets from Ticketmaster from the link provided, and yeah, great these were then cancelled because they were going to send the original tickets out. If they hadn't have done this then I would have least had some tickets. I live in Bradford, in Northern England, and have booked 2 days off work, rail tickets, which I have now lost and a hotel room for tonight! I bought these tickets back in November and I'm still pissing about on the day of the concert. I have emailled AEG everyday and get an automated response back from them, which states that if the tickets are not received today, then I should email to pick-up duplicates. I don't know whether to set-off to London without tickets or not in the hope that I will receive an email with instructions on where to collect tickets when I arrive? Dean

Tickets arrived!

Hi all, if it helps put your mind at rest my tickets arrived about 30 minutes ago via recorded delivery. I'd just emailed AEG and chsed them on where the tickets where and as if by magic they arrived! Looking forward to the gig and all of you waiting for tickets try and stay chilled - looks like they will arrive. By the way, anyone going for pre-gig drinks? If so, where? I went to the Albert Hall gig and a nearby pub was over-run with Cure fans - made for a really good build up to the epic, fantastic gig! Hope this one will be as good - favourite is still by first one back in 1985 for the Head on the Door tour! Now I feel old.... Scott

Trinity Tickets

I'm stilll waiting for my original tickets. The replacement ticketmaster tickets have turned up but i've heard these are now not valid. Is anyone else in the same situation and were do we stand if the Trinity tickets don't arrive. I'm leaving for London early on Thursday morning so if they don't come today i don't know where i stand?

Congratulations Robert and The Cure !

Hello Robert S. ! Congratulations on your much deserved award ! As a long time The Cure admirer I am really glad that one of my favorite rock bands of all time is being finally honoured in their homeland. Congratulations also on over 30 years of being true and passionate about your great music ! Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the Shockwaves NME awards, 'cause right now I cannot leave my hometown (Rio, Brazil), although that would be a great excuse to visit again the lovely city of London I visited last year for the first time. I just wanted to let you know that The Cure is an unforgettable band for people all over the world. I still remember the day I met you in Brazil and you kindly took the book I gave to you as a gift and the amazing concert I saw back in 1986. Many of your songs have been relevant in many periods of my life and they still are, you're a great lyricist and one of the best guitar men I have listened in many years of being a fan of music. I am also glad to see that you keep in touch with your fans and is concerned about them, that's really generous and kind of you in a time where there are plenty of arrogant instant celebrities who just love the publicity. Send, please, my regards to Simon Gallup and Porl Thompson. who have been with you all through these years and have also contributed to make The Cure the special band that it already is in the history of rock and music. Scary, I was thinking that a few days ago. *CUREHIVEMIND* Wantbeef- In all my spastic, fan-girlish glee, I overlooked the press aspect of it... still, 's more fun to think that Robert did it all by himself! 8D. It's true that lying corporate bloodsuckers cannot withstand too much negative press... But as Tania said, if the NME went down "innocent" people might get hurt, and that is never acceptable. There are other BETTER ways to handle things, instigating reforms for one. I hope this isn't the case but, it would be awfully shameful if NME had any foreknowledge of this nonsense; certainly, the bigwigs at TS had known for quite some time. If TS had any sense of decency, they never would've sold those tickets in the first place. How's that for an oxymoron? Decent. Corporate. Conglomerate. At any rate, at least everything worked out nicely for the fans, in store for a most glorious show!! <333

Thanks so much for helping the plight of the few. Looking forward to Thursday, shame we can't make Wednesday, but just check out the body popping of 'Friendly Fires' front man! I am soo pleased that White Lies are supporting, if you have not already had a listen to them, you will see that they have fab lyrics and a good sound for a new band. Thinking that i might self-combust with excitement before then though, love you lots.. p.s. You rocked on Wossy!!

At Tania36. It's got nothing to do with fat cats, the NME/AEG are just profit-mongering leeches, as their actions in this fiasco have proven, only backing down in face of public embarrassment. NME/AEG blatently attempted to screw over music fans - their consumers. Nobody needs the NME, least of all music fans or bands. For their robotic greed they deserve to fail. If these people had a shred of decency, they'd have honoured the agreement they'd made without question. So anyway cheers Robert! See you (again) on Thursday. I'll be the one burning copies of the NME :-)
