I'm glad the New Kids get to perform for the nation at he AMA's, but I'm another one of those Portland fans who had bought the 5 star meet and greet package, I convinced 5 girlfriends to come with me, even had a high-school friend flying out from Wisconsin to go to the show. We had a hotel suite booked, and our limo reserved for the event. I have been making plans since May and have been dreaming of this night since I was 13. When I was 14 and had great seats to a show in WI, it was cancelled for some unknown reason. Then I flew from Hawaii to Wisconsin back in '99 to see Jordan and Joe both on their solo tours (which just happened to land in WI the same week) and had backstage passes for Joe's show at Summerfest. I was going to meet him, until the bouncer had let too many people backstage and everyone got kicked out before the end of the show. I did meet Jordan at the hotel and told him what a huge fan I was and how I had flown from HI, to see his concert. To put a long story short, he was less than excited. Yet, I still remain a loyal fan, obviously considering my latest purchase of expensive concert packages for 5 of my friends and I. To say I was crushed by this latest cancellation would be an understatement. I am even trying to get my girlfriend to possibly come to the Tacoma show with me, even though it means being in the back of the stadium, which is quite the let down from being up close and backstage. How about my luck? Does this seem so unfair or what? I wish the guys all the success and happiness in the world, but I hope they can understand the disappointment, from fans such as myself. I'm "hangin' tough" though, and will probably be "loving them forever." despite. A devastated fan in Oregon, Brandi Libby
(P.s. I’m a really normal person, 31, married, 2 beautiful little girls, I’m a runner and a pediatric nurse, just unwilling to let the dream die.)
Seriously can't anything be done? Thanks for listening!
