Grammy winner and one of the best-selling female rappers of all time, Eve, whose album, Here I Am, is due out this August, tells In Style that she is inspired by high fashion. Eve says, “A hot dress is like a hot song—both of these things make me feel amazing. When I hear a song that I love, I need to play it every day. And when I see a crazy gown, I must have it. It becomes an obsession. I love John Galliano. He’s incredible. Risky. Unique. There will never be another designer like him. At times his clothes look like music: To me, music is color.” Eve’s favorite songs are by artists like Bob Marley & the Wailers, Sean Paul, Wyclef Jean, 2Pac, and Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth.
