I don’t know about you, but I came out ahead in AC.  It may be that I never made it to the tables, but it may be because I had a windfall of a show.  I was invited out on stage not only by John Ralston, who has invited me on stage many times in our tenure together, but Augustana invited me up for the first time for a song as well.  I was honored and it brought a spirited vibe to the whole night.

This set the stage for me to mess around in a lot of ways I wasn’t planning on.  I tweaked the set several times on the fly to include what the audience got in their requests (the ones I could hear anyway).  What was my favorite part of the night?  Right before my set time My friend Fred who I have been friends with for many years and who you know from Taking Back Sunday came to surprise me at the show.  I think I have already told you how excited I am about Fred’s new solo project “The Color Fred”.  I had to put him on the spot.  As I walked to the stage I told him, “Hey Fred, don’t wonder to far from the stage door buddy, you’re on after ‘As Lovers Go’!”  He looked unsteadied by my proclamation but he came out with that good old Fred stylehome spun confidence that we all know and love.  It was an honor to get to invite you to listen to one of my favorite musicians play one of my favorite new songs during my set, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

On to Philly!

Incredible night! Your raw, authentic, amazingly down-to-earth shows make me truly love the power of live music.

Comment Amazing Night

been a DC fan since my college days (2001) and this was my 5th concert. ACTUALLY my first DC was when you opened for Weezer, and when you, John & augustana sang EL Scorcho that night just put me on cloud 9. If you ever do an asian tour - make a pit stop in the Philippines-- Manila Cebu Bacolod, I was there this summer and your fan base there is growing by the minute.

Comment I love dashboard..

still hoping that dashboard will perform live here in Philippines..my greatest dream for christmas..

i have some kind of envy for the people who have the opportunity to go to your shows... not a bad envy, but an envy in a good way.. dashboard confessional is my fav. bands of all time and i'd do anything to see u guys live.. but there is one problem. i live in chile.. so, maybe u should think it and pay a visit around latin america... you don't imagine how many fans you've got down here. your lyrics are awesome.

Yeah Fred's now formerly of TBS. No matter who they get to replace him, nothing will ever beat the original TBS lineup
