CHRIS CORNELL POSTPONES EUROPEAN TOUR UNTIL FALL 2008
THIRD SOLO ALBUM PRODUCED BY TIMBALAND DUE OUT IN SEPTEMBER ON MOSLEY MUSIC / INTERSCOPE RECORDS
Los Angeles, CA – Pioneering rock singer/songwriter Chris Cornell has postponed his upcoming European Tour, originally slated to begin in Holland on May 31st, until the Fall. The acclaimed, multi-platinum former lead singer of Soundgarden and Audioslave is holed up in the studio with super producer Timbaland, continuing work on his third solo CD, tentatively slated for a September 2008 release on Interscope Records.
Having already laid down 14 tracks for the forthcoming disc, Timbaland has called his collaboration with Cornell “his best work ever.”
“Due to an extended recording schedule, I will be able to perform in front of my European fans a few months later than expected. With that said, I plan on touring extensively through Europe and the rest of the world through 2008-2009,” said Cornell.

CC Song Of The Week - "Billie Jean"
Posted 3/27/2008 by CCadmin
Over on CC's Myspace Page we have a CC Song Of The Week. This week we asked the fans to let us know what song they wanted as the CC Song Of The Week. "Billie Jean" easily became the most requested song and was selected.
We are using an acoustic version of the song performed by CC in Stockholm, Sweden on September 7, 2006. For those who did not know, this is also the first time CC played his rendition of the song in front of a live audience.
You can listen to the song on CC's Myspace or the site here:
Chris Cornell - "Billie Jean" Unplugged in Stockholm Sweden
If you are interested in a full-band live performance of the song, you can see a video of CC at MSN in May 2007 on the site here:

If you are interested in the album version that appears on CC's latest solo record Carry On, head on over to
Next week, we will let you guys decide the CC Song Of The Week again.
Enjoy!

Message From Chris
Posted 3/26/2008 by CCadmin
Hello everyone.
I am on a plane from Cape Town to Johannesburg, then back home to Paris. Just played South Africa for the first time ever and as I leave I again feel very lucky to be able to do what I do as my life’s work.
The country is beautiful. The weather, the water, the mountains, but as usual, for me what really matters is the people. The fans and the South Africans that we met have all been amazingly warm and friendly. Getting this kind of reception so far away from home always moves me. This has been another on a long list of firsts for me in the last year.
As a solo artist I can finally move unencumbered; making my world as big as possible and playing music for as many people around the world who will show up to listen.
I have been working on a lot of new stuff that I will tell you about later.
Peace. CC
