Yes, go to the post office and ask the counter person about getting calling cards for your husband from the VA.
Each chapter has a person that is in control of sending calling cards, for FREE, to the men and women in the service. Your husband will have to contact this person....so it will take a bit to get them to him....but its worth it because they are free.
I found this out when I was sending packages to various soldiers that I'd found on line, wanting packages. They will give him as many as he wants, but he will have to be the one to contact them...so get the name and address of the person that handles them and send it to him.

I was on my way back home from my duty station in Iraq when I saw Puddle of Mudd in concert. They were in Al Asad back in May of 2008 and said they were taken film of the soldiers in crowd and adding them to their new music video. Anyone have any feedback on that? If so.. Being the adult child of a retired career Marine, I understand the sacrifices that our men and women make for us every single day they wake up and put on their uniform. I just wanted to thank you POM for taking the time to visit our troops because every lit bit of home they can experience makes it somewhat easier to be so far away from home.

My husband volunteered to go to Iraq. He has been gone since 4/08. I am working and taking care of three boys (6/8/10). I am tired and it would be nice to have a break. When my husband sent us your CD I felt like people do still think of us and understand what we go through. So many don't care and only think of themselves. We all have to sacrifice in order to have freedom. It would be nice for the boys to meet you if only for 5 minutes. They love your music. Thank you for what you did to help our soldiers. I must admit, I am very surprised to see how everything has worked out with Operation Mudd. It is an honor to see this video posted on this site. I just hope I did them justice in making it.
