Hey! I was at the concert in salt lake a little while ago and I think that you have real talent. I love your stuff and everytime i listen it gets better!
I really loooooove your music! Plus your rad vocals and the best thing is that u put ur flair into it... even in the ratm covers.. It's just wicked! Cant wait for your music vids in Asia
We're not exactly talking plagiarism here. There have been a zillion 1/4/5 chord change songs written by both amateur and professional songwriters, so I guess they all owe more than just an apology to Chuck Berry (and those who influenced his style,) so by your logic should be kissing his feet and weeping in sackcloth and ashes. Your passionate love for RAtM is understandable, but your judgment of Charlotte Sometimes' music as a whole (have you actually heard the whole album?) based on the "lifting" of a phrase in a single song is over the top. People hear ideas in their heads and they don't always know exactly where it came from - it's a big world with a lot of artists past and present, known and unknown. There is room for 2 songs with a similar thought, wouldn't you say?<div> </div><div>"Peace"</div><div>sg</div>
First off, I completley agree with what you're saying and I love RATM, but Cypress Hill was the group that created the song. Rage just did a cover of it.
Dear Charlotte, I am appalled by your choice to completely copy the catchphrase of this song from Rage Against the Machine. Totally, completely, absolutely NOT COOL. You can't just hear a good line from another artist and copy it and make it your own song. Thats thievin', and you should be ashamed. At least put at the end of the song, "I stole this from Rage Against the Machine, an epic band which I have hoped to be like, but failed. My apologies to everyone I have disrespected, please proceed to not buy my album, and turn the radio off any time it should play this song." Taking these measures would not even justify what you have done, but at least show your "fans" that you understand what a foolish thing you did, and would discourage the rest of the world from making the same mistake, or making the worse mistake of buying your record and fueling your unoriginal disgrace to rock.
