T.O.S. gets 4/5 stars on ArtistDirect!

Terminate On Sight gets 4/5 stars from ArtistDirect!

"On T.O.S. (Terminate On Sight), G-Unit come out with knives drawn, guns blazing and rhymes sharpened. On the title track, 50 Cent announces, "I'm on that SSK shit: shoot, stab, kill," and it's hard not to believe him. G-Unit blast through the hood, like a sawed-off shotgun with T.O.S.. In fact, 50 hasn't sounded this fierce since his 2003 breakthrough debut Get Rich, Or Die Tryin'. It's good to see that 50 and Co. can still get asses shakin', but it's more refreshing to see that they still run the streets. T.O.S. is evidence that these lions are still kings of the block and on top of the game." ArtistDirect.com

Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo Address the Gift and Curse of Being 50's Allies on About.com

Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo Address the Gift and Curse of Being 50's Allies on About.com

With all the tragedies that you guys faced recently, what type of life lessons do you draw from these experiences and how do they affect you when you step inside the recording booth?

Banks: I mean, it's not really a lesson. The situation with my pops, that's something that's promised -- you never beg for it. Anything you do for a certain amount of time becomes a habit. Days go by 24 hours, but ours go by 12 hours a day because we live so fast. So, you never really buckle down to think about those kinda things because you're always on the move. The issues affect you, and everybody has a right to deal with it in their own way. Some people can deal with it by going out and venting and just bugging out and sh*t. But with me, somethings have to be kept personal. My mother just got out of the hospital from the car wreck. She totaled the Escalade and cracked her skull in two places, so she'll be kinda like in the bed for the next month.  - Rap.about.com

Status Ain't Hood Interviews Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo

Status Ain't Hood Interviews Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo

G-Unit Records seemed to expand a whole lot a couple of years ago when you had everybody signing. Now, for a variety of reasons, it seems like it's shrunk back to the three of you.

Yayo: Well, contractually, everybody is still on G-Unit, from Hot Rod to M.O.P. to Mobb Deep. Prodigy, shout to him, he's incarcerated now at Downstate Correctional Facility with my man El Dorado. Shout to them. Havoc, he's still making beats. M.O.P., they just have to deal with their own issues. They have to get theirselves together, but they still contractually still with G-Unit, along with Hot Rod and Spider Loc, and everybody else. It's not shrinking. It's just going back to the original formula of just me, Banks, and 50 in the studio going hard. And Buck, he's contractually under G-Unit too. He's still on the label. You could believe anything you want to believe, but he's still on the label, and he's still under the Unit. Nobody did anything to disrespect Buck. These are all the moves that he wanted to make. He complained about royalties. I never had a royalty problem, a publishing problem, ever in my life. I never had no complaints about it. I live in a million-dollar home. I own numerous properties. I have nice vehicles. I live the life that you supposed to live, being on G-Unit. - Villagevoice.com

G-Unit Interview on DJBooth.net

G-Unit Interview on DJBooth.net

G-Unit stepped into the booth at DJBooth.net

DJ Booth: Okay, so let’s line this album up side by side next to the group’s first album, Beg for Mercy. What is similar, what is different?

Tony Yayo: Hey! The difference is Tony Yayo’s home, man! That first album, Beg for Mercy, I was on Rikers Island, incarcerated, I was in jail, and now I’m here. But my boys still kept my face on the album, so I appreciated that. Shout to Eminem, who’s workin’ on his album, shout to 50, who’s workin’ on his album on the movie set. And, you know Terminate on Sight. Just imagine how big that tour’s gonna be, if Eminem comes out, the G-Unit TOS album is out, 50 got his new album out, Banks is comin’ with his solo, I’m comin’ with my solo – we all just go on a big tour! And Dre drops Detox. - DJBooth.net

G-Unit Q&A Session Part 1 on DefSounds

G-Unit Q&A Session Part 1 on DefSounds

Check out the G-Unit Q&A Session Part 1 with Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo on DefSounds.com

Defsounds: What happened in Angola?--What was the whole chain snatching thing about?

Banks: You know what, you have to go to Angola to even understand the kind of energy and love they have for G-Unit, it ain't no artists that went there prior to us—except for maybe Jay Z, he might've toured around that way. When you go there, it's a overwhelming love—the people'll run and latch onto you. They're not going on stage with the intentions of taking anything from you—they want to come on stage and hug the artist and some times they don't let go. So it looks like its more than what it was. - DefSounds.com

MTV News: G-UNIT in Africa

MTV News: G-UNIT in Africa

"50 is here to see and learn about the region and continent in a way that perhaps he didn’t appreciate the last time he was here, in 2004. This morning, for example, we rushed to Hector Pieterson Memorial museum in Soweto to meet up with 50 and Nelson Mandela’s grandson, who was giving 50 a lesson on Apartheid and its effect on South Africa." - mtv.com
